YEREVAN, May 26. /ARKA/. The framework agreement between Armenia and the US on strategic cooperation on the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP) project will be signed in the coming weeks, announced Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan.
Mirzoyan and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio initialed the framework agreement on strategic cooperation on the TRIPP project in Yerevan on Tuesday.
"I am confident that the initialing of the framework agreement with the US on strategic cooperation on the TRIPP project will soon result in its signing. I can even tell you the reason why it wasn't finally signed today," Mirzoyan said at a press conference following Rubio's visit to Yerevan.
According to the minister, the text of the agreement has been fully agreed upon, there is political understanding and agreement, but the technical procedures still need to be completed in both countries.
"The technical procedures between the countries will be agreed upon within the next few weeks; these are purely technical and formal procedures," Mirzoyan noted.
He stated that Armenia now has a "truly historic opportunity" to be on new supply routes and become a key link in logistics chains.
"And our steps are aimed precisely at this—to ensure Armenia's crucial role in this new world," Mirzoyan said.
