Implementation of the TRIPP project will finally bring Armenia out of 34-year isolation - Pashinyan
"The signing and ratification of the peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan, as well as the establishment of interstate relations, will ensure the elimination of mutual hostility between our peoples," Pashinyan noted in parliament on Wednesday, speaking during a discussion of the report on the implementation of the government's 2025 program.
Pashinyan stated that peace has been established between Armenia and Azerbaijan, and that it already has a very strong, binding legal basis for both countries.
About the TRIPP Project
Following a meeting on January 13 in Washington, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio released a joint statement regarding the framework for executing the TRIPP project.
The document outlines the initiation of a mechanism to enhance multimodal transit connectivity through Armenia, which includes linking the mainland of Azerbaijan with the Nakhchivan Autonomous Region and incorporating it into the Trans-Caspian Trade Route.
Armenia is set to permit the formation of the TRIPP Development Company, which is anticipated to obtain an initial 49-year right to carry out the project. It is intended to offer the United States a 74% share in the company, while Armenia will retain 26%. Should the agreement be extended for an additional 50 years, the share distribution is expected to be modified.-0-
