Pashinyan: 580% increase in passenger traffic from Armenia to the EU has led to delays in visa applications
YEREVAN, April 18. /ARKA/. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan explained the months-long queues for EU visas and thinks that visa liberalization will be achieved as soon as possible.

"What is the reason? Compared to 2017, there has been a 580% increase in passenger traffic from Armenia to EU countries. For example, if in 2017, 1,000 people traveled, then in 2025, it will be 5,800. Our European colleagues say they didn't expect such growth," Pashinyan said.

This is how he explained the discussions on visa liberalization with the EU.

"Armenia is currently the only country with which such negotiations are underway. I think that we will achieve results as quickly as possible," Pashinyan said.
