YEREVAN, April 18. /ARKA/. $250 million will be invested in the Shirak poultry farm in Armenia to ensure production of approximately 100 tons of poultry meat and 15-20 tons of pork per day, as well as to create 2,500 new jobs.

As reported by the RA Ministry of Economy's press service on Facebook, Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan, accompanied by company owner Narek Nalbandyan and director Hayk Matevosyan, inspected the farm's conditions, installed equipment, and production process yesterday.

It is noted that over $60 million of the total $250 million investment has already been invested.

The expansion project is being implemented on 420 hectares in the Shirak and Kotayk regions. It is planned to create 2,500 jobs, 750 of which will be in Shirak. 300 jobs have already been created in Shirak and 350 in Kotayk.

The poultry produced will fully meet Armenia's domestic needs, with some products being exported. The company already produces 400,000 eggs per day.

The company has also invested $25 million in the construction of a feed mill, which will be one of the largest in the region.
