An order worth 170 billion drams has been placed with enterprises of Armenia's military-industrial complex, announced RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
YEREVAN, April 16. /ARKA/. An order worth 170 billion drams has been placed with enterprises of Armenia's military-industrial complex, announced RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
"On Republic Day, May 28, only weapons acquired and produced after 2022 will be on display at Republic Square. We must be accountable to the people," Pashinyan said in parliament on Wednesday during a discussion of the 2025 report on the implementation of the government's 2021-2026 program.
Earlier, RA Minister of High-Tech Industry Mkhitar Hayrapetyan stated that the Armenian government had decided to continue the policy of three-year contracts aimed at developing the military industry, allocating over 150 billion drams for 2026-2028.
According to him, the first three-year military industry development program for 2023–2025, with contracts worth over 171 billion drams signed with 28 companies, has become a cornerstone in the development of Armenia's military-industrial complex.
Armenian Defense Minister Suren Papikyan stated that in 2025, the country's defense spending would reach 664 billion drams, or approximately $1.74 billion.
