YEREVAN, August 17. /ARKA/. Lake Kari in Armenia is littered with garbage, prompting the Ministry of Environment to forward the pollution reports to the relevant agencies.

Images and videos showing the pollution surrounding Lake Kari, one of the high-altitude lakes on Mount Aragats, have been widely shared online.

"The Ministry of Environment will send the pollution reports concerning the area near Lake Kari to the relevant agencies and will oversee the issue within its jurisdiction," the ministry stated.

The ministry also reminded the public to take full responsibility for the environment while enjoying the outdoors.

"We encourage everyone to keep the environment clean while enjoying nature, to collect litter, and to dispose of it only in designated locations. In particular, in high-altitude and sensitive ecosystems, any action can lead to lasting effects," the statement concluded.-0-
