YEREVAN, August 12. /ARKA/. Traffic flow on the Kievyan Bridge in Yerevan will resume on August 14, ahead of the planned schedule, according to the City Hall.

During the extensive repairs of the bridge, the top layer of asphalt has been laid, sidewalks on both sides have been completed, new galvanized railings have been installed, and the drainage, waterproofing systems, and expansion joints have been refurbished.

Additionally, the electrical cables from the lighting poles have been removed and relocated to inspection shafts beneath the sidewalk.

City Hall has reported that a special polymer concrete material was utilized in the expansion joints, marking its first use in Armenia. This material is intended to minimize impact loads and vibrations from vehicle traffic, thereby enhancing both the safety of the bridge and the comfort of drivers.

Beginning August 14, the previous traffic pattern will be reinstated on the sections adjacent to the Kievyan Bridge. On the same day, the T5 trolleybus route will revert to its original route.

Following the reopening of the roadway, the remaining restoration work on the Kievyan Bridge will proceed, as noted by the mayor's office.-0-
