"Today, a few hours ago, the Artsakh Defense Army carried out active counter-offensive actions and achieved significant success, defeating several special operation force units," he said.
He said for almost a week now, the Armenian people in Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) and Armenia have been resisting the Azerbaijani-Turkish terrorist attack, unprecedented in its scale. He said no matter how many mercenaries are fighting on Azerbaijani side, the enemy will not be able to compete with the Armenian will to live.
'Our soldiers and volunteers do not spare anything and show incredible examples of heroism. Today on the battlefield there are hundreds of Azerbaijani destroyed armored vehicles, dozens of aircraft and helicopters, hundreds of UAVs. Azerbaijani army's casualties amount to several thousand. At the moment, hot battles continue in different parts of the front line. In some places the Defense Army troops are in a rather difficult situation, in some places they have achieved significant advantage,' he said.
According to official Armenian sources, some 3000 Azerbaijani soldiers have been killed in the fighting against Nagorno-Karabakh since September 27 morning when Azerbaijan launched a large-scale offensive against Nagorno-Karabakh and another 3,400 have been wounded.
The Armenian forces of Nagorno-Karabakh have destroyed about 250 various armored vehicles, multiple launch rocket systems Smerch, Uragan, and TOS , more than 110 UAVs, 16 helicopters, 11 aircraft.
