YEREVAN, April 24. /ARKA/. The state and peace are the guarantee that the Armenian Genocide will not happen again, stated Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

"To achieve this historic goal, we must stop searching for a homeland beyond the internationally recognized territory of our state – the Republic of Armenia – which covers 29,743 square kilometers," he said live on his social media.

The prime minister thinks that this territory is significant for the prosperity, development, and well-being of the Armenian people.

"Today, dozens of our settlements are empty; dozens of settlements and our state as a whole are underpopulated. This was due to the lack of peace and the lack of understanding that the homeland is the state, identity is the state, and security is the state with its internationally recognized territories. "And, based on this awareness, the Armenian people must abandon the logic of emigration and wandering," he said.

According to Pashinyan, today the authorities are guiding the Republic of Armenia with the ideology of a real Armenia, understanding that peace and security primarily depend on regulated relations with neighbors, based on the recognition of each other's territorial integrity, sovereignty, inviolability of borders, and political independence.

"The forces that advocate the return of the lost homeland, the restoration of historical borders and justice, are putting the Republic of Armenia on the path of the San Stefano Conference of 1878, the inevitable endpoint of which is the loss of statehood and homeland, because everyone in the world has their own history, everyone has their own justice, everyone has their own lost homeland," he said.

The Prime Minister stated that "we have finally escaped this trap, and attempts to lead Armenia in this direction again are an invitation to our state and people to the scaffold."

"Through sacrifice we have found and regained our homeland, and this homeland is the Republic of Armenia. The reward for the sacrifices of all our martyrs is the eternity of the Republic of Armenia, the freedom, security, and well-being of the citizens of the Republic of Armenia, and the fulfillment of the aspirations and interrupted dreams of all our martyrs. We are following this path," Pashinyan concluded.
