Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Khachatryan emphasized the importance of French President Emmanuel Macron's presence in Armenia during his state visit to the European Political Community Summit on May 4, as well as the following day, May 5. He made this statement during a conversation with Olivier Decottignies, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to Armenia.
According to the Armenian government's press service, a number of bilateral issues were discussed in detail ahead of the visit, including water supply and sanitation, France's participation in the construction of the Sisian-Kajaran section of the North-South Highway, cooperation in education, and other programs and initiatives of strategic importance.
Both sides emphasized the importance of established constructive cooperation for the effective resolution of issues and the gradual expansion of bilateral relations.
