YEREVAN, April 24. /ARKA/. Members of the European Parliament will debate and vote on a resolution on EU support for Armenia's democratic resilience amid the upcoming elections.

According to the European Parliament's website, the debate will take place on April 28, with the vote scheduled for April 30.

Furthermore, the EP is expected to call for additional efforts to strengthen Armenia's overall democratic resilience.

"The EU recently launched a new civilian mission to support the Armenian authorities in strengthening their capacity and countering multi-layered threats such as foreign information manipulation and interference (FIMI), cyber-attacks, and illicit financial flows. A separate EU-Armenia summit is also planned for May 5," the European Parliament website notes.

EU foreign ministers approved the launch of the new civilian mission in Armenia. The mission will begin its work in the coming months, will have a two-year mandate, and will be called the European Union Partnership Mission to the Republic of Armenia (EUPM Armenia). It will consist of 20-30 international staff.

The next parliamentary elections will be held in Armenia on June 7, 2026.
