Sona Ishkhanyan elected Chairperson of Acba Bank Board
YEREVAN, April 27. /ARKA/. Sona Ishkhanyan has been elected as Chair of the Acba Bank Board. She brings over 24 years of expertise in internal audit, enterprise risk management, and financial services.
Sona Ishkhanyan has dedicated 18 years to internal audit and risk management, including a four-year tenure at Deloitte & Touché LLP in San Francisco, USA.
For 13 years, she held the roles of Chairperson and member of the audit committees at ProCredit banks in Ukraine, Georgia, Armenia, and Moldova. Since May 2025, Sona Ishkhanyan has been part of the Acba Bank Board, having previously acted as Chairperson of the bank's Audit Committee.
Her professional background encompasses the implementation of international financial control and corporate governance standards (SOX), the development of internal audit methodologies, financial reporting, business process evaluations, and cross-functional international management.
Sona Ishkhanyan earned her Master of Business Administration from the University of Nebraska (USA) and is an alumnus of the Yerevan State University of Economics.
