Regulator suspends production of well-known brand of lemonade due to violations
YEREVAN, April 21. /ARKA/. Inspectors from the Food Safety Inspectorate of Armenia's Yerevan center carried out an inspection at a soft drink manufacturing facility owned by Sil-Maaza LLC (Yerevan). They collected product samples and sent them for laboratory analysis, as reported by the regulator's press service.
The examination results indicated that samples of the "SIL CHIPO" brand "carbonated soft drink with pear flavor" (produced on March 18, 2026) and "carbonated soft drink with tarragon flavor" (produced on February 12, 2026) failed to comply with the standards set by Customs Union regulations regarding mesophilic aerobic and anaerobic microorganisms, as well as total yeast and mold fungi.

As a result, the head of the Inspectorate has decided to suspend certain production activities related to these soft drinks.
The manufacturer has been ordered to halt the sale of thee batches, recall them from the market, destroy or dispose of them, and ensure that the products meet the current technical regulations.
A deadline has been established for addressing the identified issues. -0-
