Service sector in Armenia grew by 7.4% in January-March 2026, approaching AMD 982 billion

The service sector in Armenia in January-March 2026 amounted to AMD 981,729.1 million at current prices, an increase of 7.4% compared to January-March 2025, according to the Statistical Committee.
YEREVAN, May 15. /ARKA/. The service sector in Armenia in January-March 2026 amounted to AMD 981,729.1 million at current prices, an increase of 7.4% compared to January-March 2025, according to the Statistical Committee.
In March 2026, this figure amounted to AMD 351,418.6 million. Compared to March of last year, the service sector grew by 7.8%, and compared to February of this year, by 12.6%.
Financial and insurance activities accounted for the largest share of the overall service sector—31.7%. The volume of this segment for January-March amounted to 310,909.7 million drams, an increase of 2.1% compared to the same period last year.
The following service sector segments were distributed as follows:
Information and communications — 20.6% share, 202,702.0 million drams, an increase of 7.2%;
Transport — 11.7%, 114,970.0 million drams, an increase of 19.3%;
Accommodation and catering — 8.5%, 83,353.4 million drams, an increase of 9.5%;
Culture, entertainment, and recreation — 7.6%, 74,827.8 million drams, an increase of 8.0%;
Professional, scientific, and technical activities — 4.8%, 46,882.8 million drams, an increase of 13.0%;
Healthcare and social security — 4.4%, or 43,468.7 million drams, an increase of 3.2%;
Real estate activities — 3.9%, or 37,799.9 million drams, an increase of 9.6%;
Administrative and support activities — 3.5%, or 34,081.7 million drams, an increase of 20.3%;
Education — 2.5%, or 24,680.2 million drams, a decrease of 2.3%.
Other services accounted for 0.8% of the total, or 8,052.9 million drams. Compared to January-March 2025, this figure increased by 18.1%.
In March 2026, this figure amounted to AMD 351,418.6 million. Compared to March of last year, the service sector grew by 7.8%, and compared to February of this year, by 12.6%.
