Armenia and Bulgaria expanding cooperation

During Bulgarian President Rumen Radev’s visit to Armenia the sides have signed several agreements to expand their cooperation in different areas.
YEREVAN, February 12. /ARKA/. During Bulgarian President Rumen Radev’s visit to Armenia the sides have signed several agreements to expand their cooperation in different areas.
More precisely, Armenia and Bulgaria signed four agreements, including an agreement on the mutual protection of classified information, an agreement on the regulation of labor migration between the two countries, an agreement on cooperation between the two countries in the field of information technologies and communications and a program on cooperation between the culture ministries of both countries in 2018-2020."
"I want to say with satisfaction that our talks with the President of Bulgaria were held in a warm atmosphere. We had a thorough discussion of our bilateral agenda and addressed a number of international issues of mutual interest. We have also reaffirmed our mutual commitment to strengthen relations and agreed to make additional efforts to ensure a new dynamic in our bilateral and multilateral cooperation," Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan said.
According to him, the sides also discussed economic issues and noted that in recent years the bilateral trade shows a tangible growth.
President Radev noted in turn that the trade turnover between Armenia and Bulgaria was not enough. "We can reach a higher level, our peoples expect closer and effective cooperation," the Bulgarian president said.
Exports from Armenia to Bulgaria in 2017 amounted to $286.2 million, an increase of 87.8% from the previous year. -0-
