Armenian Economy Minister Gevorg Papoyan will be on a business trip to the United Arab Emirates from September 6–9 to participate in the 15th annual investment congress, AIM Congress 2026, in Dubai.

Armenian Economy Minister Gevorg Papoyan will be on a business trip to the United Arab Emirates from September 6–9 to participate in the 15th annual investment congress, AIM Congress 2026, in Dubai. The corresponding decision was signed by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on September 4.
About the Forum
AIM Congress 2026 will be held September 7–9 at Dubai World Trade Centre. The theme of the congress is "Reimagining Global Prosperity: Opening New Investment Paths to a Sustainable and Inclusive Future."
The agenda includes topics such as foreign direct investment, global trade and industry, the digital economy, future finance, sustainable development, startups, and artificial intelligence.
Plenary and thematic sessions, high-level roundtables, investment presentations, an exhibition, and business meetings are included.
Armenia-UAE Trade
According to Armstat, the UAE is one of Armenia's largest foreign trade partners and a key destination for Armenian exports. In 2025, the UAE ranked second among Armenia's export destinations after Russia (with a 24.5% share). Exports from Armenia to the Emirates amounted to $2.05 billion in 2025.
Total trade turnover between Armenia and the UAE in 2025 amounted to $2.13 billion, compared to $5.34 billion the previous year (a 60% decline).
In January-June 2026, trade turnover between Armenia and the UAE amounted to $307.5 million, a 72.8% decrease compared to the same period in 2025. Exports from Armenia to the UAE during this period amounted to approximately $280 million, a 74.3% decrease year-on-year.
