YEREVAN, September 1. /ARKA/. A reciprocal Armenian-Turkish business forum is planned to be held in Armenia tentatively in October, stated Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan.

In an interview with Public Television, the minister recalled that a meeting of representatives of the Armenian and Turkish business communities recently took place in Kars, Turkey, which he described as "very successful." A representative Armenian business delegation participated.

"The Turkish side has proposed holding a reciprocal business forum in Armenia. We are planning it very quickly, and it will take place tentatively in October," the Armenian Foreign Minister said.

Regarding the opening of the Armenian-Turkish border, Mirzoyan stated that, according to the Armenian side, both countries are ready to open their common border.

"We believe, both before and now, that both our countries are ready for the border to open and function. This is in demand; it is a requirement of the times," Mirzoyan said in an interview with Public Television.
