YEREVAN, June 25. /ARKA/. Armenia's ruling Civil Contract party will decide on a candidate for the new speaker of the National Assembly on Wednesday, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced at a government briefing.

He refrained from expressing his position on the matter.

Pashinyan announced that a meeting of the Civil Contract party's board will be held today, at which one candidate will be selected by closed, secret ballot. Afterward, the prime minister said, the public will be informed.

"I will vote in a closed, secret ballot, like my colleagues," Pashinyan said.

The prime minister also stated that no changes are planned to the composition of the Armenian government.
