YEREVAN, June 25. /ARKA/. Armenia has exported approximately 2,320 tons of fruits, vegetables, and berries since the beginning of June 2026, RA Economy Minister Gevorg Papoyan said at a government meeting on Thursday.
"From June 1 to 25, 1,071 tons of apricots were exported, 90% of which were exported in the last week, 882 tons of cherries, about 40 tons of apples, 100 tons of mulberries, figs, currants, and blackberries, 87 tons of strawberries and raspberries, and 140 tons of tomatoes," Papoyan said at a government meeting on Thursday.
Papoyan noted that price declines are observed in two categories: flowers and tomatoes.
"There are no separate price declines in other areas, and the existing harvest is either fully sold on the local market or exported," the minister said.
Commenting on the situation, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that the decline in domestic prices is an important indicator.
"There is a signal that there is a decline in prices on the market, particularly for fruits and vegetables, meaning a so-called 'fruit and vegetable default' is occurring," Pashinyan said.
