Veolia Jur has invested 184 million drams in reconstructing water supply networks in two communities in Armenia's Ararat region

YEREVAN, August 8. /ARKA/. Veolia Jur announced that, as part of its mandatory capital works program, it has invested 184 million drams in reconstructing water supply systems in two communities in the Ararat region – Arevshat and Lanjazat.

According to the report, 154.5 million drams of this amount were allocated for the reconstruction of the main water supply line in Arevshat, which supplies the community with water, as well as for repairing damaged sections of the distribution network.

The current water supply line was built in 1937, which, according to Veolia Jur, is causing frequent accidents and significant water losses. This water supply line also supplies 14 communities in the larger Artashat community. As part of the project, approximately 5 kilometers of new water pipeline are being built for 95 customers, the company reports.

According to a press release, a 29.5 million drams project is being implemented in Lanjazat to replace a cast-iron water pipeline in use since the Soviet era. According to Veolia Jur, the existing pipeline runs entirely through private property, complicating system operation and emergency repair work. The new pipeline will be laid along the road.

At the same time, damaged sections of the distribution network are being reconstructed in Lanjazat. According to the company, after completion of the work, the efficiency of the water supply system is expected to increase and water losses to be reduced.
