YEREVAN, August 7. /ARKA/. In 2025, Armenia transferred approximately $319 million in import customs duties to the EAEU general budget, while the amount of funds distributed to Armenia amounted to approximately $175 million, stated Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
"Therefore, according to him, Armenia contributed significantly more funds to the Union's general budget than it received, which is direct confirmation of Armenia's responsible position and conscientious fulfillment of its obligations within the EAEU," he said on Friday at an expanded meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council in Kyrgyzstan. In this regard, Pashinyan also noted that objective economic indicators convincingly demonstrate that Armenia's participation in the EAEU is based on fulfilling mutual obligations, rather than on obtaining unilateral advantages.
According to the Armenian Prime Minister, the dynamics of mutual trade are no less indicative.
"By the end of 2025, imports from EAEU member states amounted to approximately $5 billion, while exports of Armenian products to the Union market over the same period amounted to approximately $3.2 billion. These figures demonstrate that the Republic of Armenia is not only a participant in the common EAEU market but also a significant consumer of goods and services produced in the Union member states," Pashinyan said.
According to Armstat, Armenia's foreign trade turnover with the EAEU in the first half of 2026 amounted to $2.82 billion, a 19% decrease compared to the first half of 2025. Exports amounted to $1.32 billion with a decline of 4.2%, and imports amounted to $1.58 billion (a decline of 27.9%).
