Armenian government approves its 2026-2031 program of activities
YEREVAN, August 20. /ARKA/. The Armenian government approved its 2026-2031 program at a meeting on Thursday.
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that, based on this program, the government will adopt and implement a five-year program of activities.
"The implementation of this program is expected to result in the formation of a new quality of state and ensure its further development. Thus, Armenia is entering a new stage in its history, called the 'Fourth Republic,'" Pashinyan noted.
According to Article 151 of the Constitution of the Republic of Armenia, the Prime Minister must submit the government program to the approval of the National Assembly within 20 days of the formation of the government. The government program was developed to meet this requirement.
The government's program is based on the "Real Armenia" ideology, the Civil Contract party's election program for the June 7, 2026, parliamentary elections, and the doctrine of Armenia's economic and institutional transformation.
Following the approval of the government's program by the National Assembly, the government will have to approve within 3 months a five-year action plan for implementing the government's activities.-0-
