Armenia's economic activity up 6.3% in six months

According to the National Statistical Committee, Armenia's economic activity increased by 6.3% in the first six months of 2025 compared to the same period in 2024.

YEREVAN, July 25 — /ARKA/. According to the National Statistical Committee, Armenia's economic activity increased by 6.3% in the first six months of 2025 compared to the same period in 2024.

In June of this year, economic activity increased by 8.6% compared to June of last year and by 8.8% compared to May of this year.

From January to June, industrial output totaled 1,257,746.6 million drams, a 12.4% decrease compared to the same period in 2024. In June, there was a 1.2% year-over-year decline, and a 2.5% increase over the previous month was recorded.

The gross agricultural output increased by 7.3% to 316,087.7 million drams in January–June 2025.

The construction sector increased by 18.5% compared to the same period last year, amounting to 224,871.5 million drams. In June, annual growth was 22.6%, and monthly growth was 21.1%.

Domestic trade amounted to 2,953,471.8 million drams, which is 3.9% higher than in the first six months of last year. In June, growth was 2.8% year-over-year and 6.2% month-over-month.

According to statistics, the services sector (excluding trade) reached 1,812,346.1 million drams, which is 9.8% higher than in the same period in 2024. In June, annual growth was 8.2%, and monthly growth was 1.3%.

Armenia's state budget for 2025 envisions an economic growth rate of 5.1%. -0-
