YEREVAN, April 28. /ARKA/. The international conference FINTECH360 has opened in Yerevan, bringing together over 400 participants from around the world.
"The financial industry today is undergoing not just a digitalization phase, but a profound structural transformation. Not only are technologies changing, but also the logic of finance," said Mesrop Hakobyan, Chairman of the Board of Unibank, at the opening ceremony.
According to him, this has become a new operational reality for banks, payment systems, and the entire financial infrastructure.
"Technology is beginning to determine competitiveness. Artificial intelligence and automation are no longer about efficiency, but about the long-term survival of banks," Hakobyan noted.
He emphasized that platforms like FINTECH360 create a space for dialogue between market participants.
"Armenia occupies an interesting position: on the one hand, it has a small market, but on the other, it has a high rate of technological adaptation, flexibility, and openness to innovation. This creates opportunities for developing partnerships, sharing experiences, and identifying new growth areas in the region," Hakobyan said.
He expressed confidence that the conference's key value will be not only the ideas but also the concrete agreements reached during the event.
The FINTECH360 conference is dedicated to key trends in financial technology, new opportunities, and innovative approaches in the financial industry. The program includes sessions on the digital transformation of financial services, the application of AI in banking, biometrics and digital identification, e-commerce, payment innovations, data protection, personalization, the tokenization of real assets, cryptocurrencies, and blockchain.
