In his congratulatory address on the occasion of Labor Day, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that approximately 280,000 jobs have been created in the country since the "velvet" revolution of 2018.

YEREVAN, May 1. /ARKA/. In his congratulatory address on the occasion of Labor Day, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that approximately 280,000 jobs have been created in the country since the "velvet" revolution of 2018.

According to Pashinyan, during this period, Armenia has achieved high economic growth, with indicators exceeding the global and Eurasian Economic Union averages. He also stated that compared to 2017, the country's economy has grown by 53.9%, and tax revenues to the state budget have more than doubled.

The Prime Minister noted that since 2018, the government has returned approximately 1.4 trillion drams to citizens and companies through various support programs.

Pashinyan also stated that the development of education, professional skills, and retraining are becoming especially important amid changes in the labor market under the influence of artificial intelligence.

The head of government added that the authorities intend to continue the economic course in the coming years. According to him, peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan opens new opportunities for investment, business, and education.
