YEREVAN, May 14. /ARKA/. Work on the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP) project is ongoing on a daily basis, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated.
"The territory, finances, investments, governance models, and the de jure nature of the existing agreement are being studied," Pashinyan said at a briefing on Thursday.
On Armenian-American Discussions
Earlier, Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan discussed operational and legal issues related to the implementation of the initiative with representatives of the US State Department and the US International Development Finance Corporation.
Grigoryan also received a delegation from the American engineering and consulting firm AECOM, sent to Armenia by the US State Department's Global Infrastructure and Investment Partnership Fund to begin surveying the proposed TRIPP project area.
AECOM representatives outlined the main areas and expected results of the TRIPP feasibility study.
On the TRIPP Project
Following their meeting on January 13, 2026, in Washington, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio issued a joint statement on the framework for implementing the Trump Roadmap for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP).
The document envisages the launch of a mechanism for developing multimodal transit connectivity through Armenia, including connecting the mainland of Azerbaijan with the Nakhchivan Autonomous Region and integrating it into the Trans-Caspian Trade Route.
Armenia intends to sanction the creation of the TRIPP Development Company, which is expected to receive an initial 49-year right to implement the project.
It is planned to offer the United States a 74% stake in the company, while Armenia retains 26%. If the agreement is extended for another 50 years, the share ratio is expected to change.
