As of 2:00 PM, 847,226 voters, or 33.84% of the total, had cast their ballots in the regular elections to the National Assembly of Armenia, reported Central Election Commission member Silva Markosyan.
YEREVAN, June 7. /ARKA/. As of 2:00 PM, 847,226 voters, or 33.84% of the total, had cast their ballots in the regular elections to the National Assembly of Armenia, reported Central Election Commission member Silva Markosyan.
There are 2,503,974 people registered as voters.
According to the Central Election Commission, 33.38% (283,601 people) voted in Yerevan, 34.99% (39,691) in Aragatsotn, 32.81% (72,243) in Ararat, 30.39% (68,785) in Armavir, 32.29% (57,422) in Gegharkunik, 34.96% (74,575) in Lori, 35.95% (86,481) in Kotayk, 31.57% (65,608) in Shirak, 41,738% (39,02) in Syunik, 37.81% (16,878) in Vayots Dzor, and 38.87% (40,204) in Tavush.
It should be noted that in the previous snap elections to the National Assembly of Armenia, held on June 20, 2021, as of 2:00 PM, 695,626 voters, or 26.82%, had cast their ballots. The number of eligible Armenian citizens was 2,593,572.
About the elections
On June 7, at 8:00 AM local time, regular elections to the National Assembly of the 9th convocation began in Armenia. There are 2,005 polling stations operating in the republic. Voting will end at 8:00 PM.
According to the Central Election Commission, 2,503,974 people are included in the voter register of Armenia. The turnout as of 2:00 PM was 33.84%.
Eighteen political forces – two blocs and 16 parties – are participating in the elections: the Reformist Party; the democratic party "I am against everyone"; the "Strong Armenia" bloc; Meritocratic Party of Armenia; Reformist New Force Party; Wings of Unity Party; Prosperous Armenia Party; Pan-Armenian National Democratic Pole Party; Kochari - National Revival and Awakening of the Nation Party; Armenian National Congress Party; Republic Party; Christian Democratic Party; Democratic Union Party; Democracy, Law, Order (DLO) Party; Civil Contract Party; Armenia bloc of parties; In the Name of the Republic - Defenders of Democracy Party; Bright Armenia Party.
