YEREVAN, July 15. /ARKA/. Armenia has joined the US Trade over Aid initiative, aimed at developing international trade, attracting private investment, and enhancing the economic resilience of partner countries.

Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Robert Abisogomonyan announced this at an international forum in New York. He stated that the initiative complements traditional mechanisms of international development cooperation, focusing on expanding trade, investment cooperation, and creating sustainable economic models.

According to the Armenian Foreign Ministry, at the forum, the Armenian side presented the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP) project, as well as projects in the field of artificial intelligence, as examples of strategic economic cooperation with the United States.

Abisogomonyan noted that the main principles of the TRIPP project are enshrined in the framework agreement on strategic cooperation signed between Armenia and the United States. The Deputy Foreign Minister also presented Armenia's economic diversification policy, noting that it entails expanding access to new markets and transport routes, as well as reducing structural dependence on a limited number of industries.

He also emphasized that Armenia is consistently transitioning to a knowledge- and technology-based economy by stimulating innovation, supporting competitive small and medium-sized enterprises, and investing in human capital development.

The US Administration's Trade over Aid initiative proposes a new model for economic development that unites UN member states, the private sector, and UN agencies to create a business-friendly environment and stimulate economic growth based on free market principles. The initiative was officially launched on April 27, 2026.
