Armenia has exported domestically produced weapons worth several million dollars for the first time.
YEREVAN, May 19. /ARKA/. Armenia has exported domestically produced weapons worth several million dollars for the first time. This was announced by RA Minister of High-Tech Industry Mkhitar Hayrapetyan, without specifying the exact amount.
"A few years ago, it would have been difficult to imagine that Armenia would become an arms exporting country. Over the past few months, in various public appearances and interviews, I have mentioned that several domestic manufacturers have received permission to export weapons, and now I am very proud to announce that three Armenian companies exported weapons to two different countries in May," Hayrapetyan said in a video posted on his Facebook page.
As the minister noted, the export process encountered significant logistical difficulties, but ultimately, the weapons were delivered to the required countries.
