YEREVAN, November 3. /ARКА/. The acquisition process for new uniforms for the Armenian Armed Forces is progressing smoothly, with the initial batches of several thousand samples expected to arrive, stated Defense Minister Suren Papikyan.

"Some details regarding this were shared during my trip to the United States. This year, we look forward to receiving the first shipments of field uniforms, which will subsequently undergo field testing," Papikyan informed reporters on Monday.

He added that this will be succeeded by the procurement and adjustment of uniforms for the entire military.

When asked about a potential agreement with the United States concerning arms supplies, contract signings, and overall military assistance, Papikyan chose not to disclose specifics, simply mentioning the existence of "a rather positive trend in the development of cooperation."-0-
