YEREVAN, June 8. /ARKA/. Armenia and the European Union have reached a political agreement on the export of Armenian products to EU countries, stated Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan.

"There is a common political understanding between Armenia and the EU; there is a common political agreement and consent. We are entering the technical formalization stage," Mirzoyan said at a joint meeting of the standing committees of the National Assembly.

According to him, Armenian entrepreneurs and the public will soon be informed about specific products and delivery mechanisms.

Responding to a question about delivery logistics, the Foreign Minister noted that goods can be exported to EU countries by air, through Georgia, and through Turkey.

Mirzoyan also reported that the meeting of Armenian and Turkish entrepreneurs held in Kars on June 2, with the participation of the foreign ministries and chambers of commerce of both countries, generated significant interest from Turkish businesses, particularly from Turkey's eastern and northeastern regions.

According to him, substantive contacts have already begun between business representatives, and the next meeting may take place in Armenia in the foreseeable future.

"A process has begun that, I am confident, will continue and will lead not only to positive economic results but also positive political ones," Mirzoyan stated.
