Putin describes relations with Armenia as "truly allied"
YEREVAN, October 18. /ARKA/. In a message addressed today to the participants of the 8th Russian-Armenian Interregional Forum, hosted by Armenia’s capital Yerevan, Russian President Vladimir Putin describes the Russian- Armenian relations as ‘truly allied,’ saying also that the countries enjoy a meaningful political dialogue and productive cooperation in various fields.
"The relations between Russia and Armenia, based on centuries-old traditions of friendship and mutual respect, bear a truly allied character. There is a substantial political dialogue between our states and productive cooperation in various areas. Interregional cooperation plays a very significant role in the development of Russian-Armenian ties, and is instrumental in implementing mutually beneficial projects in a variety of areas," Putin says in the message placed on the kremlin.ru.
The Russian president says it is very important that representatives of central and local authorities, public organizations, academic, expert and business circles of the two countries are able to exchange experience, discuss a wide range of issues on the bilateral agenda and outline ways for further joint work.
"I hope that the forum will be held in a creative, constructive manner, will give a start to new initiatives that will contribute to strengthening the fruitful Russian-Armenian partnership, as well as promoting integration processes in the Eurasian space," Putin’s message says.
The 8th Russian-Armenian Interregional Forum is being held in Yerevan on October 18-19. -0-
