New chairman of EEC Board arrives in Yerevan on official visit

Mikhail Myasnikovich, the new chairman of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Board, the executive arm of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU), will pay an official visit to Yerevan on February 7, the EEC press service reported.
YEREVAN, February 6. /ARKA/. Mikhail Myasnikovich, the new chairman of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Board, the executive arm of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU), will pay an official visit to Yerevan on February 7, the EEC press service reported.
It said in Yerevan Myasnikovich will have a series of meetings with top Armenian officials, including Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, First Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan, President Armen Sarkissian and National Assembly Speaker Ararat Mirzoyan.
Myasnikovich and Armenian officials will discuss a strategy designed to deepen the Eurasian economic integration until 2025, as well as the approaches to removing the existing barriers, exemptions and restrictions in the EEU.
Mikhail Myasnikovich, representing Belarus, took up the rotating chairmanship of the EEC in February 2020, replacing Armenia's representative Tigran Sargsyan.
Armenia became a full member of the EEU in January, 2015. Currently, the organization also includes Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. -0-
