Irrigation networks in 13 Armenian communities to be upgraded
YEREVAN, December 15. /ARKA/. The Territorial Development Fund, run by the Armenian Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure, said 544.2 million drams will be spent on a program designed to upgrade irrigation networks in 13 communities.
It said the rehabilitation of irrigation systems in some communities is financed by a loan provided by the Eurasian Development Bank.
It said also separators with a total length of more than 21,633 meters will be built. They will significantly improve the irrigation of 3200.2 hectares of land owned by 8,158 water users in 13 settlements.
The beneficiaries of the project are the communities of Getashen, Berkashat, Lenughi, Khatsik, Khanjyan, Lukashin, Mrgashat, Noravan, Norapat, Aigavan, Armavir, Yeghegnut, Arazap in Armavir region. ($1 - 525.09 drams). -0-
