YEREVAN, June 25. /ARKA/. In May 2026, the number of registered jobs in Armenia reached 823,584, announced RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

"The previous figure – the second-highest in history – was recorded in December 2025 and amounted to 822,662 jobs," he noted at a government meeting on Thursday.

Noting that this indicates that the country's economy is maintaining its growth rate, Pashinyan said that international organizations have increased their economic growth forecasts for Armenia.

"This is due to the large investment programs currently being implemented in the country and planned for the future," he added.

Armenian Economic Figures and Forecasts

The 2026 state budget projects 5.4% economic growth in Armenia. In the first quarter of this year, Armenia's GDP, according to preliminary statistics, registered growth of 4% compared to January-March 2025.

According to the Central Bank's monetary policy report for the first quarter of this year, Armenia's GDP growth is expected to be 7.1-4.7% by the end of 2026, 5.7-5.3% in 2027, and 4.9-5.2% in 2028, depending on scenario (A-B).

The following are the economic growth forecasts for Armenia from international financial institutions for 2026: World Bank - 5.3%; IMF - 5.25%; ADB - 5.5%; EBRD - 5.5%; EDB - 6%; S&P Global Ratings - 5.3%; Fitch Ratings - above 5% (for 2026-2027).
