Economic activity in Armenia grew by 7.9% in the first six months of 2026

According to preliminary data, Armenia's economic activity index (EVI) in January-June 2026 registered a 7.9% increase compared to the same period in 2025, the National Statistical Committee reports.

YEREVAN, July 27. /ARKA/. According to preliminary data, Armenia's economic activity index (EVI) in January-June 2026 registered a 7.9% increase compared to the same period in 2025, the National Statistical Committee reports.

Moreover, in June of this year, EVI grew by 7.7% compared to June of last year, and by 4.4% compared to May of this year.

In January-June, industrial output amounted to 1,522,502.1 million drams, an increase of 10.8% compared to January-June 2025. In June, the year-on-year growth was 4%, while the month-on-month decline was 3.1%.

Gross agricultural output decreased by 11.9% from January to June 2026, reaching 310,050.5 million drams.

Construction volume for the reporting period of this year increased by 24.5% compared to the same period last year, reaching 282,220 million drams. In June, year-on-year growth was 25.4%, while month-on-month growth was 19.5%.

Meanwhile, domestic trade turnover for the first six months of this year amounted to 3,155,866 million drams, a 0.9% increase compared to the same period last year. In June, the year-on-year decline was 0.1%, while month-on-month growth was 6.3%.

According to statistics, the volume of services (excluding trade) for the first six months of 2026 reached 2,148,598.5 million drams, which is 11.1% higher than the same period in 2025. In June, annual growth was 19.7%, and monthly growth was 5.7%.
