YEREVAN, April 22. /ARKA/. The Armenian government aims to achieve an average annual GDP growth of no less than 6% in the upcoming years, as stated by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan while unveiling the election platform of the Civil Contract party.

"In our 2021-2026 program, we committed to an average annual GDP growth of 7%, and we have successfully reached this target. Our average economic growth stands at 7.6%," he mentioned during a live session on his social media.

Pashinyan further highlighted that Armenia's real GDP has increased by 53% from 2018 to 2025.

Armenian Economic Figures and Forecasts

The state budget for 2026 anticipates an economic growth rate of 5.4%. The Central Bank's monetary policy report for the first quarter of this year projects the GDP growth to be between 7.1-4.7% by the end of 2026, 5.7-5.3% in 2027, and 4.9-5.2% in 2028, depending on different scenarios.

Forecasts for Armenian economic growth from international financial institutions for 2026 include: EDB - 5.3%; WB - 5.3%; IMF - 5.3%; ADB - 5.5%; EBRD - 5.5%; S&P Global Ratings - 5.3%; Fitch Ratings - above 5% (for 2026-2027).-0-
