Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced that Armenia's industrial output is set to rise by 50%, increasing from the current 3.3 trillion drams to 5 trillion drams, as he unveiled his Civil Contract party's election platform.

YEREVAN, April 22. /ARKA/. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced that Armenia's industrial output is set to rise by 50%, increasing from the current 3.3 trillion drams to 5 trillion drams, as he unveiled his Civil Contract party's election platform.

"We intend to bolster our industry through various initiatives. A significant portion of our economic growth stems from industry, particularly manufacturing," he stated during a live session on his social media.

The prime minister also noted that the contribution of SMEs to GDP is expected to grow to 40%, up from 34.3% in 2024.

"We plan to enhance the competitiveness, efficiency, and modernization of SMEs," Pashinyan added.

As reported by Armstat, the industrial output in Armenia for 2025 was recorded at 3.32 trillion drams (at current prices), reflecting a 4.7% increase compared to 2024.

The manufacturing sector represents the largest portion of industrial output in 2025, accounting for 72.2%. Mining and open-pit mining contribute 15.4%, while electricity, gas, steam, and purified air supply make up 11.4%, and water supply, sewerage, waste management, and recycling account for 1%.-0-
