Armenian and Russian prime ministers discuss wide range of issues

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and his Russian counterpart Dmitry Medvedev discussed today a wide range of issues, the Armenian government press office reported.
YEREVAN, August 9. /ARKA/. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and his Russian counterpart Dmitry Medvedev discussed today a wide range of issues, the Armenian government press office reported. It said Pashinyan and Medvedev met on the sidelines of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council in Kyrgyzstan.
It said they focused, in particular, on the further development of trade and economic ties and the current status of joint projects.
Medvedev was said to have hailed the successful chairmanship of Armenia in the EEU, noting progressive development in bilateral relations, as evidenced by the frequency of official meetings and contacts at the highest level both in the format of heads of state and in intergovernmental and inter-parliamentary formats.
Pashinyan in turn positively assessed the process of strategic cooperation between Armenia and Russia and noted with satisfaction progress in the tourism sector. He cited official figures which say that the number of tourists from Russia visiting Armenia increased by 19% in the first six months of the year.
