YEREVAN, June 1. /ARKA/. Armenia has developed programs to support exports to the EU and the Middle East, announced RA Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan.
"The Ministry of Economy has presented a number of support programs related to exports to the EU and the Middle East, reimbursement of transportation costs, customs duties, and, in some cases, expenses related to intellectual property (IP)," Papoyan told reporters on Monday.
According to him, Armenian exports to the European Union have already doubled, but the authorities intend to more actively promote this direction and aim to increase them four to five times by the end of the year.
Asked about the details of the telephone conversation between Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Russian President Vladimir Putin, Papoyan said they had a "warm conversation" and expressed confidence that all issues would be resolved.
"These are technical issues. After the elections, we will resolve them all very quickly," the minister said.
Papoyan also reported that his deputy recently held a meeting with his Russian counterparts. He described the meeting as "a very positive atmosphere," and all parties were committed to resolving the existing problems.
