YEREVAN, June 1. /ARKA/. Following joint inspections conducted by the Armenian Food Safety Inspectorate and the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor), products from two Armenian fish farming companies have been cleared to import into Russia.

According to the Armenian inspection agency, inspections were conducted from May 21 to 27, 2026, at four fish farms in Armenia. Based on these inspections, products from MF Export and Invest Plus have been cleared to import into Russia.

The results of the inspections of two more fish farms, as well as eight plant growing production sites, are still being compiled.

In turn, Rosselkhoznadzor stated that, effective June 2, 2026, the Armenian side must suspend veterinary certification of live fish and fish products to Russian recipients from all Armenian companies, with the exception of two enterprises that passed inspection, until the situation is resolved.

The import of fish products from the two approved enterprises will be subject to laboratory monitoring for safety indicators, the agency stated.
