Fourth Doing Digital forum, "Connecting Platforms and Economies," kicks off in Yerevan
YEREVAN, April 8. /ARKA/. Doing Digital 2026 Forum (DDF), the leading event in the digital economy and financial technology, kicked off in Yerevan on Wednesday.
"Let's imagine a world where systems make decisions and algorithms manage finance. This is the reality we already live in," said Tatevik Simonyan, founder of the Doing Digital forum, at the opening ceremony.
According to her, the 2026 forum's theme, "Connecting Platforms and Economies," demonstrates how tectonic shifts are reshaping the logic of communications. Old bridges are crumbling, supply chains are being disrupted. New ones are being built instead.
"The forum's main goal is to position Armenia as a global hub for technological transformation and a new bridge that can connect financial flows and technological systems," Simonyan said.
Leiming Chen, Senior Vice President and Chief Sustainability Officer at Ant International, is a special guest at DDF26. Key speakers included Matthias Unduraga, Head of Artificial Intelligence in Europe at Amazon Web Services (AWS), Dirk Ohlmeyer, CEO of Just Better, and Alexander Yablunovsky, Vice President of Visa CISSEE (CIS and Southeastern Europe).
The forum's discussions will focus on four strategic areas: harmonious collaboration between digital agents and human potential, effective interconnection of financial capital and technology platforms, exponential growth of innovation and development of the regulatory framework, strengthening connections between global markets, and integrating regional economies into the global system.
This year, the forum will also feature a wide range of speakers, including Varlam Ebanoidze, Head of the Financial and Supervisory Technologies Development Department at the National Bank of Georgia; Martin Galstyan, Governor of the Central Bank of Armenia; Armen Nurbekyan, Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Armenia; Eduard Hakobyan, Chairman of the State Revenue Committee; Arusyak Mirzakhanyan, Head of the SRC Training Center; Ruben Simonyan, Deputy Minister of High-Tech Industry of the Republic of Armenia; Karen Mkoyan, Executive Director of imID; Laura Aydinyan, Head of the Interoperability and Data Management Department at the Information Systems Agency of Armenia (ISAA); Sadik Azimov, Vice President for Digital Transformation at the Zangezur Copper and Molybdenum Combine; and others.
Each year, the Doing Digital forum includes the most significant technological developments, innovations, and economic trends of the relevant period in its program, presenting them to the audience and creating an environment for future-oriented discussions. Since its launch in 2023, DDF has brought together over 60 outstanding speakers and over 3,000 participants from Armenia, the UK, the US, the UAE, Germany, Australia, and the CIS countries.
The forum is organized by SPRING PR. ARKA News Agency is the forum's media partner.-0-
