Armenia to introduce single electronic system for construction quality control

YEREVAN, August 21. /ARKA/. The Armenian government is set to launch a single electronic system aimed at integrating all participants involved in construction and technical quality control processes.

This initiative was a key topic during a meeting led by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, as reported by the government press service.

Yeghiazar Vardanyan, the Chairman of the Urban Development Committee, outlined plans for digitizing technical quality control in construction and updating legal frameworks.

The anticipated reforms will connect all stakeholders through a single electronic platform. This system will facilitate online approvals, track work progress in real time, and grant regulatory authorities online access to essential information.

The introduction of this system is expected to enhance transparency and oversight in construction processes, ultimately leading to better construction quality.

Additionally, the reforms will focus on refining project assessments, establishing a new pricing strategy, evaluating construction companies and developers, encouraging the adoption of international building certification systems, and enhancing the management of multi-apartment buildings.

The meeting also covered the implementation, scaling, operation, and maintenance of a construction project management and technical control system.

Pashinyan highlighted the necessity of improving construction quality and reinforcing oversight, stressing the importance of ensuring compliance with standards throughout all phases. The prime minister directed that the required actions be taken to put the system into effect.-0-
