Armenia and United States are implementing investment programs worth approximately $1 billion, Papoyan
YEREVAN, February 9. /ARKA/. Armenia and the United States are currently executing investment initiatives totaling around $1 billion, as announced by Armenian Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan during a press briefing on Monday.
Among these initiatives, the minister highlighted a $120 million loan and investment program being carried out at the Vorotan hydroelectric cascade, which is owned by Contour Global Hydro Cascade. The assessment also includes the TRIPP project, which is projected to cost about $200 million, an AI data center initiative valued at over $500 million in collaboration with NVIDIA, and various programs in the nuclear energy sector.
"If we sum up all these sectors, we can discuss investment programs with the United States amounting to roughly $1 billion," the minister remarked.
Papoyan pointed out that several projects are already in progress and noted that such a level of collaboration is unprecedented for Armenia.
The minister also expressed that the Armenian government is keen on enhancing investment cooperation with the United States and exploring new projects to strengthen bilateral economic ties.
According to Armstat, Armenia's trade turnover with the United States in 2025 reached $348.4 million, reflecting a 12.2% decrease compared to 2024. Armenian exports to the United States were valued at $53.1 million (a 9.9% drop), while imports (by country of origin) totaled nearly $295.3 billion (a 16% decline).-0-
