Armenia has appointed a new head of the Tourism Committee

Anushik Avetyan has been appointed Chair of the Tourism Committee of the Armenian Ministry of Economy. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan signed the corresponding decision on Wednesday.
YEREVAN, September 2. /ARKA/. Anushik Avetyan has been appointed Chair of the Tourism Committee of the Armenian Ministry of Economy. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan signed the corresponding decision on Wednesday.
By a previous decree of the Prime Minister, Avetyan was relieved of her post as Acting Deputy Minister of Economy.
Avetyan served as Deputy Minister of Economy for approximately a year and a half, from April 2025 to September 2026. Prior to this appointment, she was the Executive Director of the American Chamber of Commerce in Armenia (AmCham).
On August 28, former head of the Tourism Committee, Lusine Gevorgyan, announced her resignation on Facebook. She headed the committee for nearly two years, from October 31, 2024, to the end of August 2026.
