YEREVAN, June 2. /ARKA/. Restrictions on the export of Armenian-made products are hurting the EAEU's image in Armenia, according to RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
"The EAEU must open up new opportunities so that its image in Armenia improves, not the opposite. If any restrictions are introduced, this creates a negative perception of the EAEU among Armenian citizens," Pashinyan noted, answering questions from an Izvestia correspondent during an election campaign in the village of Tsovagyugh in the Gegharkunik region.
According to him, the best step in this context would be to abandon all restrictions, which are currently being politicized.
"I'm afraid that all this will create some negative sentiment in Armenia toward the EAEU. I'm not interested in this. These are the wrong steps because they turn people against the EAEU. “As a high-ranking official (of a member country) of the EAEU, I consider this a problem, but all these problems will be resolved,” Pashinyan said.
