YEREVAN, April 29. /ARKA/. On Wednesday, at a meeting in Aghveran, Armenia, the Armenian and Azerbaijani sides agreed on draft instructions for conducting border delimitation work and signed a corresponding protocol, the press service of the Armenian Foreign Ministry reported.

"On April 29, the thirteenth meeting of the state border delimitation commissions was held in Aghveran, chaired by the Deputy Prime Ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan, Mher Grigoryan and Shahin Mustafayev," the ministry said in a statement.

The Foreign Ministry noted that the meeting was again held on the territory of one of the parties – in Aghveran, Republic of Armenia.

The parties held a detailed exchange of views on organizational and technical issues related to delimitation activities.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed on and exchanged the texts of three draft instructions: on the operating procedures of delimitation expert groups, on the procedure for creating a delimitation map, and on the procedure for preparing and issuing delimitation documents for the state border between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

The parties agreed to submit these instructions to their governments for approval. Grigoryan and Mustafayev also exchanged views on issues of mutual interest.

The Foreign Ministry's statement said that cargo transit to Armenia through Azerbaijan is successfully ongoing. It also noted that Azerbaijan supplies petroleum products to Armenia, which, according to the ministry, indicates the development of trade and economic ties between the two countries.

Furthermore, business representatives from both sides discussed the development of trade and economic cooperation, mutual supplies of goods and services, and transit shipments.

The Foreign Ministry emphasized that the achieved results were made possible thanks to the political will of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.

Following the meeting of the commissions, a corresponding protocol was signed. The parties agreed to set a date for the next meeting of the commissions in Azerbaijan.

Earlier, on April 27, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that the process of delimiting the Armenian-Azerbaijani border would continue in the near future and be completed within a reasonable timeframe. -0-
