"No," he said, answering a question on the matter. "Armenia's EU accession is Armenia's business. Whatever they decide, that's their sovereign right."
"And our right is to resolve issues related to the preferences that Armenia will lose if it moves closer to the EU," Overchuk emphasized.
At a meeting with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in Bishkek on September 1, Russian President Vladimir Putin emphasized that Yerevan's decision to begin the process of joining the European Union is effectively tantamount to an announcement of its withdrawal from the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), as it is impossible to be a member of both organizations simultaneously.
