Armenia Ratifies Treaty on International Controlled Deliveries to the CIS

At its session on Monday, the National Assembly of Armenia approved the ratification of the Treaty on the Procedure for Organizing and Implementing International Controlled Deliveries by Competent Authorities of the CIS Countries.
YEREVAN, September 14. /ARKA/. At its session on Monday, the National Assembly of Armenia approved the ratification of the Treaty on the Procedure for Organizing and Implementing International Controlled Deliveries by Competent Authorities of the CIS Countries.
Armenian Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Armen Ghazaryan stated that the draft aims to enhance cooperation between law enforcement agencies of the CIS countries in combating transnational crime by addressing modern challenges and threats.
"The treaty envisages the adoption of effective measures to combat crimes related to the illegal movement of controlled objects across state borders, such as drugs, weapons, cultural, historical, and artistic treasures, and other items, as well as the improvement of existing legal mechanisms for cooperation between the competent authorities of the CIS countries," Ghazaryan noted.
