Armenia's food safety inspectorate has denied reports on several Armenian websites that Russia has allegedly decided to completely stop importing apricots from Armenia this year.

"This information is untrue. Such decisions are made only by authorized bodies of countries, after which the other party is officially and directly notified through the relevant authorities," the Armenian regulator said in a statement.
The inspectorate noted that it had not received any official notifications from Rosselkhoznadzor on this matter. The agency called for an end to the spread of misinformation and assured that it operates transparently, is negotiating, and that any official information will be published.
